Tapas Mishra

Having started his career as an advocate with a firm specializing in tax, he has nearly 15 years of experience in all aspects of direct taxes. His areas of expertise ranged from taxation of charitable trusts to large companies, search and seizure matters, taxation of cross-border transactions, advance rulings, appeals, and of late, transfer pricing litigation.

With the introduction of Service Tax in 1994, he got involved in the evolution of this new tax and helped set this up as a practice area.

The focus on tax litigation at all appellate levels, with a special focus on cross-border transactions and transfer pricing continued with his move to accounting firms such as RSM &Co. and Price Waterhouse Coopers and to Induslaw. Having opted out of the partnership of Induslaw, he set up MnM Legal, a firm focused on direct and indirect tax advisory and representation, with a competent and energetic team. He is also the Designated Partner at A & N Legal Solutions LLP and continues to shape the firm’s expertise and clientele in the domain of taxation, insolvency, and cross-border transactions
